It is the mission of Paterson Adult High School to ensure every student attains a high school diploma and develops the skills that lead to success in the job market.

Adult High School

The Adult High School, operating under the jurisdiction of the Paterson Public Schools, is an accredited high school in the state of New Jersey. The Adult High School provides educational activities and necessary instruction for adults to complete graduation requirements and earn a locally-endorsed high school diploma. It is a credit based program not a G.E.D. program. 

Adult High School has two semesters in the school year: Fall and Spring. When a new semester starts, no students will be enrolled after the first five days of classes and must wait until the following semester begins. 

Registration Requirements 

  • You must be a Paterson resident

  • You must be 18 years of age or older

  • Student must submit transcript from their former school/s. Without submitting a transcript, a student is NOT considered enrolled in Adult High School.
